Market Recap

Fairly quiet week...until Friday that is, when markets saw their largest selloff since April at the height of the Tariff Saga. Same reason this time too, as it appears that tension has arisen again with China on this stage.

The Week Ahead

As stated at the onset and going back to last week's update, 'something' had to happen to shock the markets a bit and it did. Trump is already somewhat walking back his statement from Friday, or at least clarifying it saying, and I'm paraphrasing, while he said there is no reason for him and Xi to meet, he didn't say they won't and that he will be showing up. Regardless, next week should be interesting but my inclination is that most of the losses from Friday could be erased within a day or two if it appears this was just some off handed comment with no actual truth to it.
